AIR-CONDITIONING/HVAC EFFICIENT DESIGN SEMINAR-WORKSHOP. From COLUMNA ENERGY

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 3-day design course provides a comprehensive study and workshop of Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems & Equipment commonly found in Commercial Buildings, Industrial Buildings, and Hotels. This course will give participants the theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of HVAC Systems & Equipment necessary for the safe and efficient Design, Selection, Operation, and Maintenance of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems.

Topics covered include: Properties of air and water vapor, Bodily reactions to air conditioning conditions, Ventilation, factors affecting heat transfer in buildings, Methods and calculations of determining heat loss and heat gain, Methods of determining duct sizes, etc. Various Cooling/Refrigeration Systems & Equipment are also explained. The course will be conducted in a step-by-step practicum and hands-on of the lessons. The participant must bring a calculator.

OBJECTIVES: After this course, the participants will be able to properly design, select, and install HVAC Systems & Equipment in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

WHY THIS COURSE? Competent design engineering work is essential in determining the needs to be met and the right hardware to be used in building and operating HVAC systems. If this important step is omitted, engineering, maintenance, operation, and management people will face long years of complaints and problems.
