COLUMNA MESSIANIC Research, Inc. is a non-profit institution that pioneers the convergence of the Messianic Science and Technology with the Science and Technology of Man. This needed convergence will result in the refined Science and Technologies that are the ONLY means to truly eliminate or mitigate the perils and evils of CLIMATE CHANGE.
The refined Science and Technologies that will be developed from this convergence will be translated for the use and reference of the Lawmakers, CEO's, and Government officials to help in their decision-making. In general, these knowledge will be used to educate the people of the World about the proper use of their lives and the resources of Planet Earth. This includes the massive education and training of the workforce in business, industry, and the government. A tone-down version of this education is also available for the academe and the general public. The resulting transformation of people should elevate their thinking and standard of living, eliminating or alleviating Climate Change crisis, Energy crisis, Economic crisis, and other crises. With these in mind, the institution now focus on the main issues of the day: ENERGY and its direct effect on CLIMATE.
Engineer LOPE S. COLUMNA is the motive force behind this pioneering institution. Mr. Columna is a multi-faceted engineer, researcher, writer, consultant, speaker, and corporate trainer/educator that provides training and consultancy on energy efficiency, environmental preservation, human resource development, and industrial productivity improvements.Engineer COLUMNA rose from the ranks and became a Registered Electrical Engineer. After a tight competition among the best engineers of NAPOCOR and MERALCO Industrial Engineering Services Corp. (MIESCOR), Mr. Columna came out as the number 1 among the most qualified Filipino engineers to be trained in the USA as scholars in the field of Nuclear Power Plant Operation and Engineering. This number 1 top slot taken by Engr. Columna was due to the results of various exams, job performance, interviews, and the combined judgment of NAPOCOR, EBASCO and Westinghouse Electric Corp.
Before and after Mr. Columna's nuclear training in the USA, he was involved in the construction, equipment installation and testing, cold hydro test, hot functional test, prenuclear plant startup operation and maintenance, write-up and documentation of several operating procedures, and in the technical training for the first 620 MW Philippine Nuclear Power Plant in Bataan. In addition, he was also exposed to Control Room Operations and overhauling of NAPOCOR's fossil-fired conventional power plants' equipment, of 800 Megawatt capacity.
In carrying out its activities and services, COLUMNA MESSIANIC Research, Inc. uses the expertise of its founder, and also the expertise of his associates, who are professional engineers and technicians experienced and knowledgeable on the electromechanical energy systems in its totality.
RATIONALE
Drastic reduction of the burning of fossil fuels is required to reduce the release of carbon greenhouse gas, and the particulates (air pollution). Carbon greenhouse gas causes Global Warming and Air Pollution causes Global Dimming. In addition, methane gas from waste also cause Global Warming, and CFC's cause Ozone Layer Depletion.
CLIMATE CHANGE is really a BIG challenge to every person on earth. The very survival of mankind is at stake here. So, the COLUMNA MESSIANIC Research accepted and initiated this ENERGY-CLIMATE Challenge.
The call for carbon reduction, carbon storage, and carbon capture is easier said than done. The hard part is that all these affect the very fabric of comfortable existence of each and every nation and person on earth. We have to change first our attitudes, mindsets, technologies, and management styles.

In the year 1993, Mr. Columna, through his first firm VISIONEERING-Energy Systems, was chosen to be a pioneer tenant of the University of the Philippines Technology Business Incubator Project, at Diliman, Quezon City. The TechnoPark project is under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). As a technology-based and research-oriented firm, VISIONEERING was qualified to be under the TechnoPark project because of its ENERGY OPTIMA project and computer software applications in industrial engineering, particularly in the field of efficient operation and maintenance.
Mr. Columna conceptualized and developed the ENERGY OPTIMA -- a unique no-cost approach to energy conservation and efficiency management that results to millions of pesos in energy savings, as well as, reduction in carbon and particulate emissions, as reported by client companies who applied this Optima Approach.

We believe that the effective and long-lasting solutions to the Energy-Climate and Economic crises, as with any other crisis, should start with one word -- EDUCATION. And for this, we should be careful NOT to forget the BASICS and FUNDAMENTALS. This becomes our weakest link resulting to human errors and lapses in judgment, leading to enormous waste of energy! Engr. Columna started business by engaging in the research of the basics of energy. And these basics are incorporated in the latest technologies. All of our courses and services are conducted from the perspective of energy efficiency. And you cannot achieve efficiency without the basics of energy.
Engr. Columna, through the COLUMNA MESSIANIC Research, Inc. offers the most complete and comprehensive engineering and technical seminars covering every aspect of energy and industrial technologies. He designed and conducts the INDUSTRIAL EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT TRAINING and consultancy services to business and industry. We also have a new line of industrial energy and environmental preservation seminars and technical services.
